Eric Wind
Eric Wind is one of the world’s leading experts on vintage watches. Eric founded and owns Wind Vintage, a company he started in 2017 that is dedicated to offering exceptional watches for sale at all price points and providing advisory services to top vintage watch collectors around the world. Eric previously served as Vice President, Senior Specialist for Christie's where he helped lead the sale of a number of important watches at auction around the world and through private sales.
Eric has been featured and quoted in a number of publications including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The New Yorker, Financial Times, Esquire, GQ, Robb Report, The Chicago Tribune, Fortune, The Hollywood Reporter, Men's Health, HODINKEE, and more. Notably, Eric assisted Kevin Kwan with sourcing a vintage Rolex “Paul Newman” Daytona reference 6263 for use in the film Crazy Rich Asians. In 2019, Eric presented to the Horological Society of New York the highly acclaimed lecture Collecting Vintage Watches. It was followed up in 2023 with the subsequent lecture Collecting Vintage Watches Part II. In 2020, Robb Report named Eric Wind the Best Vintage Watch Expert for the year. In 2021, Eric facilitated the highly successful Rowing Blazers x Seiko collaboration of a special edition, and two limited edition Seiko 5 Sports watches. He was featured in the short documentary “Time Machines: An Analogue Obsession” highlighting the historical context, evolution and sentimental attitudes that people have for timepieces. In 2021, Eric started the Significant Watches podcast with his friends Tony Traina, Charlie Dunne, and Gabriel Benador which can be listened to on Spotify and Apple Podcasts. In 2022, Eric curated a special selection of 12 vintage timepieces for Mr Porter. In 2023, Eric began providing vintage watches for sale at Kith store locations in Beverly Hills, the Miami Design District, and Williamsburg in Brooklyn. Wind Vintage was awarded Pre-Owned Watch Retailer of the Year at the 2023 WatchPro Awards, besting eBay and other massive pre-owned watch retailers. Wrapping up 2023, legendary journalist Mick Brown profiled Eric Wind in his article for Esquire “The Million-Dollar Dealer: How Eric Wind Became the Vanguard of Vintage Watches” .
Eric served as a contributor to HODINKEE beginning in 2010 where he wrote on the nuances and histories of watches and their owners. Notable articles he wrote included a comprehensive guide to the watches of United States Presidents, a detailed history of the origin of the Heuer Carrera, and detailed reviews of watch auctions. HODINKEE was named one of the 50 best websites by TIME Magazine in 2013. From 2013 to 2015, Eric worked for Tyton BioEnergy Systems, a renewable fuel company. Prior to that, Eric worked at the Endeavor Group, a consulting firm that represented CEOs and celebrities in their philanthropic and business activities.
Eric holds an M.B.A. from the University of Oxford and a B.S. in Foreign Service cum laude in International Politics from Georgetown University. He is fluent in Spanish and conversational in Persian (Farsi). Eric is married to Christine Wind and they have a a son, two daughters, and a puppy. They live in Palm Beach, Florida.
Charlie Dunne
Charlie Dunne is the Vice President, Senior Watch Specialist for Wind Vintage. Dunne has been published and quoted in numerous publications on vintage timepieces. In 2017, he graduated from Flagler College and would go on to work in St. Augustine, Florida in advertising. Prior to transitioning to the watch industry, he worked as the Senior Digital Analyst at the largest Google Ad Grants Partner agency, Cause Inspired, where he personally managed over 250 non-profits during his 4 year tenure. He would soon move to the Palm Beach area to work for Wind Vintage to immerse himself amongst the most exceptional and interesting timepieces and lead the content creation by Wind Vintage. Abigail Harris
Abigail Harris is the Director of Marketing and Logistics as well as Junior Watch Specialist at Wind Vintage. Abbie recently graduated from Palm Beach Atlantic University, where she earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Marketing. During her time at Palm Beach Atlantic University she ran for the Women’s cross country and track teams, studied abroad in Florence, Italy, and gained experience by interning with Wind Vintage. Christine Wind
Christine Wind is the co-founder and co-owner of Wind Vintage. She is also the principal photographer and takes the photos of the watches on Eric’s wrist and in his hand. She received a bachelor's degree in finance from the Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri and a master's in theology from Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio. Christine and Eric have a son, two daughters, and a puppy. They live in Palm Beach, Florida.
