Watch Spotting With Breitling: Part 3
Following up to both Watch Spotting At Breitling: Part 1 (photos from the Breitling event where Scott Carpenter’s Cosmonaute was unveiled to the world), and Watch Spotting At Breitling: Part 2 (a follow up dinner in which attendees spent the evening out in Zurich), we have the pleasure of sharing Part 3: a review of our first dinner organized by Lindsay Paterson of Breitling and Fred Mandelbaum. The dinner was a wonderful experience in which we were able to admire a wide breadth of vintage Breitling watches in an intimate setting. This is our last photo report from our Breitling trip in May and we hope you find the watches compelling. Read more.
Collector Check-In: Paul (@Aircooltime)
Paul (@aircooltime on Instagram) found his way to Palm Beach recently and is the subject of our second “Collector Check-In”. After first becoming interested in collecting watches decades ago and making a few purchases of vintage Patek Philippe and Vacheron Constantin watches, Paul dove headfirst back into the hobby about three years ago. He has a voracious appetite for knowledge and for originality around dials and cases, and has driven more than a few dealers wild with his questions! At the same time, Paul has also become friends with many other collectors and has brought new enthusiasm to the hobby. Read more.

A Look Into The Mr Porter X Wind Vintage Vintage Watch Curation
Mr Porter has just unveiled a special vintage watch curation by Eric Wind of Wind Vintage. The sale consists of eleven timepieces at various price points. Each watch is in collector’s grade condition and has a unique style. Wind expressed his enthusiasm for this collaboration with Mr Porter by stating:
“I am all about spreading the gospel of vintage watches, so it is an honor to be able to expose Mr Porter's massive audience of customers to the beauty of great vintage watches. As a longtime customer and fan of Mr Porter, I am beyond excited to have the opportunity to supply a curated collection of vintage watches for the platform. Each one has an amazing history and each watch I would be proud to own in my personal collection. There is a variety of style options and price points in the collection and I believe each is an heirloom.”
Watch Spotting At Breitling: Part 2
Following up to Watch Spotting At Breitling: Part 1 (photos from the Breitling event where Scott Carpenter’s Cosmonaute was unveiled to the world), the festivities continued into the evening where collectors were able to spend time in a more intimate setting at Razzia Restaurant & Bar in Zurich. Breitling staff joined collectors at the bar area where watches were shared over drinks. Eric Wind and I had the pleasure of meeting Romy Hebden, Head of Corporate Communications, who sported her Breitling Superocean. We discussed the recent “Airborne Journey” that took place just months before in which Breitling launched a newly-redesigned collection of the Navitimer which celebrated the historic model’s 70th year anniversary. The watches were unveiled in an in-flight setting between Zurich and Geneva. Hebden would express enthusiasm for the future when I inquired how Breitling anticipates keeping the momentum of back-to-back events such as these. I felt assured that we would continue to witness Breitling’s unparalleled storytelling.
