Welcome to Wind Vintage

I am excited to announce the launch of this website, windvintage.com, as a platform for offering great watches for sale as well as providing ongoing education on collecting vintage watches.

Since I launched Wind Vintage at the end of September 2017, I have had the opportunity to buy and sell a number of important watches, but generally out of public view. In this time when everyone wants to put every single watch they even see on Instagram, I prefer to, in many cases, give that opportunity to the watch's next owner. I expect to offer only a limited amount of my inventory on the website, so if there is a specific watch you are hunting, please let me know. 

In addition to my work as a vintage watch dealer, I am excited to be able to provide advisory services to top vintage watch collectors worldwide, including evaluating pieces for potential purchase particularly at auction as well as providing overall collection guidance. 

It is also gratifying to help people catch the “vintage watch bug” with their first vintage watch acquisitions and steer them in a positive direction to make smart and great acquisitions for their collections in a field where there are many landmines to avoid.

My goal as a vintage watch dealer and advisor is to treat people the way I would want to be treated, which means honesty and transparency. I like to only buy and sell great watches, watches that I want to own. I especially like to offer watches with clear provenance to an original owner, if possible. My passion for vintage watches began from the standpoint of a collector and I remain a collector to this day. I wish I could afford to keep all the watches I offer!

I love vintage watches and I am eager to share that passion with others, so I am glad to be able to have a blog where I can share my thoughts on cool watches I have seen, trends I am seeing in the market including at watch auctions around the world, interviews with interesting people in the world of watches as well as tips and advice for beginning to advanced collectors. I may even share my constructive thoughts on the occasional new watch release.
