Rolex "Padellone" Reference 8171 in Steel
This Rolex "Padellone" reference 8171 is a very remarkable timepiece. It features a non-luminous dial made by Fabrique de Cadran Stern Frères and feuille hands with an English calendar. The dial has amazing patina and is extremely compelling and very hard to take one's eyes off of it which I would classify as a "Rolex by God" example.
Phillips recently sold a similar example with a luminous dial and hands for the equivalent of $352,000 in May which I found far less attractive. It is paired on an 18mm Gay Freres stretch rivet bracelet, but also includes its original greyish-blue strap with Rolex buckle.
The watch came from the grandson of the original owner who was a Polish-American pilot and the watch sat for decades unused. It does not come with box and papers.
F.P.Journe has become one of the most sought after and beloved independent watchmakers. Mr. Journe is one of the most significant watchmakers of the past century and the Chronomètre à Résonance is arguably his most iconic model.
This F.P.Journe Chronomètre à Résonance in platinum with brass movement is one of the first 70 produced. This white gold dial has developed a sensational and shimmery patina, which is the charm of these early Journe watches. We believe the case to be unpolished. The two-tone sub-dials are also original, which is important as these are sometimes replaced and ruins the look. The engravings are not shallow. It also has a thinner font on the power reserve.
This watch was originally purchased new in 2000 for $33,600 USD. It comes from the original owner and it is full set with the original box and papers. It includes a copy of original sales receipt.

Rolex Oyster Perpetual Reference 6614
The Rolex Oyster Perpetual reference 6614 is a very rare reference and the predecessor to the Oyster Perpetual reference 1018. I am extremely proud to offer this “like new” 6614 as I have to imagine it will be years before I find a better example. The case is 36mm in diameter (43mm lug-to-lug) and wears very slim at 11mm in height. Notably on the case back, the very rare stamping of “Stainless Steel” is added.
The dauphine hands have developed a beautiful patina. Not only does the dial feature an applied coronet, but it also features the applied “ROLEX” letters. As an early OP, it is absent of the “Superlative” language. The dial features bold hour markers and warm luminous plots which are complementary of the 20mm “Honey Wind” strap made by Nick Gabarro.
The watch does not come with box and papers.
Rolex Submariner "King Maxi" Reference 5512
This Rolex Submariner "King Maxi" Reference 5512 is an awesome example with highly attractive lume. The watch has a 5M serial dating to circa 1978/1979. It features the original bezel insert and a TrueDome D19 crystal. The case has been lightly polished but is very strong. It is paired on a period correct 93150 bracelet with the correct 580 endlinks and has been tested to be water resistant.
This watch does not come with box and papers.
Rolex Datejust "Black Dial" Reference 16014
This Rolex Datejust reference 16014 is a great timepiece with an uncommon black dial. It is paired with a period correct Jubilee bracelet. The steel case is very crisp and possibly unpolished.
The watch does not come with box and papers.
Patek Philippe Nautilus Reference 5712R “Full Set”
This Patek Philippe Nautilus reference 5712R is a very attractive complicated model. The 18K yellow gold case is very sharp and I believe it remains unpolished. The watch comes with two additional straps, one being the original leather it was sold with.
The watch comes “full set” with box and papers.
Patek Philippe Nautilus Reference 3800 in Yellow Gold "Full Set and Unpolished"
This Patek Philippe Nautilus is remarkable reference 3800 in 18K yellow gold. The watch dates to circa 1985 and remains unpolished. The dial is absolutely gorgeous, and features original lume in the hour markers and hands. It is powered by an automatic movement. It is an amazing timepiece for either a man or lady.
The watch comes “full set” with box and papers.
Rolex Daytona "John Mayer" Reference Number 116508
Nicknamed for the 2nd appearance on HODINKEE Talking Watches, the Rolex Daytona reference number 116508 would take on the rockstar nickname “ "John Mayer". Despite being a departure from the Daytona’s utility-based nature, this model has become admired amongst a range of Rolex collectors.
The watch comes from the original owner and is offered full set with box and papers.
Ulysse Nardin
It is not often that I find myself discussing Ulysse Nardin timepieces, however when I came across this wristwatch I was compelled to buy it. This is example is in “like new” condition and appears to be accompanied with the original strap and buckle. The dial is very beautiful with a vertically brushed silvery-white with an awesome depiction of the anchor. The case still features the original sticker on the back.
This watch does not come with box and papers.
