Boucheron Reflet in 18k Gold With Black Dial
The Boucheron Reflet remains foreign to many American watch collectors and enthusiasts, yet enjoys a fantastic reputation amongst European collectors that are more familiar with the retailer Boucheron. Just as the Reverso and Cartier Basculante are admired for their interactive case designs, the Reflet has its unique design which they patented in the mid 1940s. Early examples are often powered by the OMEGA Calibre 302, however we are not certain this example features this calibre. It is a manual wind movement, and features a beautiful 18k yellow gold Clous de Paris (or hobnail) case that was made in France (as seen with the eagle hallmarks on the case back).
Interesting to note, Andy Warhol enjoyed the stylish model in his collection. The case is unpolished and measures 36mm lug-to-lug and 22mm in width. The black dial is extremely attractive and features slight discoloration on the exterior.
The watch comes does not come with box and papers.
