Vulcain Cricket with Solid 14K Gold Case

This Vulcain Cricket is among the early styles produced alongside models like the “LBJ” dial Crickets. This particular example features a very special case that is the same model that President Harry Truman who I highlighted in 2014 within my article on HODINKEE ‘The Complete Guide To The Watches Of United States Presidents‘.

The case remains unpolished and measures 34mm in diameter. The case was made by Wadsworth in 14K solid gold and features drilled lugs. It features a signed “V” crown, which I believe was later added. It is paired with an 18mm tan Wind Vintage strap made by Nick Gabarro.

The dial is non-luminous and features applied-dagger numerals. As seen in the photos, the decimal track on the exterior of the dial’s print has faded.

The watch is powered by the calibre 120, and has an exceptional voice when the alarm is engaged.
