Enicar Sherpa Graph ‘Mark 1A’
The Enicar Sherpa Graph models are extremely desirable for collectors and very difficult to find. The present watch is a very rare Mark 1A model with case made by E. Piquerez SA (also called EPSA) in 3-1960. Enicar was way ahead of other companies with the white registers against a black dial and a large 40mm diameter case with internal tachymeter. Only a handful of Mark 1A examples are known to the market. One way you can identify the first version of Sherpa Graph is the TACHYMETER BASE 1000 on the inner tachymeter bezel. Later versions did not say “BASE 1000”. You can find out more about this Sherpa Graph at Enicar101.org:

The present watch was just serviced and has an unpolished case. It also has the rare and original unsigned Compressor crown without the Saturn logo that was only on the earliest Sherpa Graphs. The dial has some patina, but finding one of these is extremely difficult. Some dealers have asked as high as $55,000 for a Mark 1A Enicar Sherpa Graph. This one is priced a lot more attractively. This model is also sometimes called a “Jim Clark”.
This watch does not include box or papers, has a manual-wind movement (Caliber 72 made by Valjoux), and is 40mm in diameter.
