Longines Wristwatch For Japanese Market w/ Extract Unpolished

This vintage Longines wristwatch is a super cool and interesting example dating to circa 1935. The case is unpolished and measures 32mm in diameter (36mm lug-to-lug). The enamel dial is very attractive with enhanced Breguet numerals. According to Longines, the watch was invoiced to Hattori, a Japanese agent of the manufacturer.

“Originally, the serial number 5'259'409 identifies a Longines mechanical manually wound movement, caliber 12.68Z. It was invoiced on 17 January 1935 to the company Hattori, which was at that time our agent for Japan.

The other parts of the watch were produced locally under license from Longines. Unfortunately, since the relevant archives are not in our possession, we are unable to provide any further information on your model.”

For those that appreciate the outstanding heritage of Longines this is an awesome timepiece!

The watch comes does not come with box and papers. It does come with an Extract from the Archives.
