Omega Speedmaster "Ed White" Reference 105.003-65

The Omega Speedmaster was introduced in 1957, initially created for drivers in automotive racing. However, it would reach iconic status by eventually reaching spaceflight qualification by NASA amongst several of the highest grade chronographs of its era.

This is an outstanding Ed White with fantastic provenance and was acquired through the original owner. It includes the Extract of Archives from OMEGA indicating the watch was produced on August 30th, 1966 and delivered to the US Sixth Fleet and US Military Sea Transportation Service in Europe.

It is powered by the iconic calibre 321, which was recently re-released and garnered great reception and excitement from a large portion of watch collectors. The case is appears to have never been polished and is categorized as an A1. Symetrical (or Straight Lugs) made by Huguenin Frères over the course of 1957-1969. The dimensions are 38.2mm in diameter (or 48mm lug-to-lug) with a lug width of 19mm.
