Patek Philippe reference 3404 in Platinum on Original Tiffany Bracelet

The Patek Philippe reference 3404 is an extremely interesting and rare model, particularly rare in platinum. Only a few pieces have ever come to market. What makes this watch extraordinarily special beyond its unpolished case and spectacular dial is the original C+B bracelet signed for Tiffany & Co. The bracelet has 22mm end links and is the same style of links found on a Patek Philippe reference 2526 in platinum with Tiffany & Co. dial signature that Heritage Auctions sold for $642,500 in New York in April 2018. The watch came from the estate of a wealthy Philadelphia family and amazingly was never polished, allowing the case to retain the sharp edges from the glass crystal to the edges of the case. Remarkably, the "crystal" in this case is actually glass that is flat on top and carved from the inside to provide a very interesting view of the silver dial with hour markers carved directly into the silver. The watch includes an Extract from the Archives of Patek Philippe confirming that the watch was produced in 1960 and sold on November 29, 1960. Furthermore, the bracelet appears to be original to the watch and the watch was likely purchased new from Tiffany & Co. in New York. This watch was featured on HODINKEE's "Bring a Loupe" column recently.
