Patek Philippe Reference 3970EP
The Patek Philippe reference 3970 is part of the legendary family of Patek Philippe perpetual calendar chronographs. It is the successor to the cherished reference 2499 with its origin beginning in 1986. It would be produced over the course of the following two decades and remains one of the finest timepieces within the recent chapters of Patek Philippe’s history.
The platinum case is unpolished and the stepped lugs remain in strong condition. The case diameter is 36mm and the lug width is 19mm. It is from 2002 and was from before diamonds were put in the case at 6:00 for platinum watches.
The movement is operated through the calibre 27-70 Q (which originates through the Lemania 2310). The pump pushers are incredibly satisfying when engaging the chronograph.
The watch is accompanied with an Extract from the Archives confirming 2002 production and sale on July 8, 2002, original Patek Philippe platinum deployant buckle, additional new 16mm Patek Philippe platinum pin buckle, box, and stylus. It only seems to be missing its Certificate of Origin and solid platinum case back.
