Patek Philippe 5180/1G-001 Eric Wind Vintage

Patek Philippe Reference 5180/1G-001

The reference 5180/1G-001 encapsulates why Patek Philippe is regarded as one of the finest manufacturers in watchmaking today. Introduced in 2008, it is one of the brand’s most incredible timepieces from their modern offering. The ultra thin Caliber 240 SQU self-winding microrotor movement originating from 1977 is quite literally on full display for the wearer to admire each moment on the wrist. Each component is meticulously hand engraved to demonstrate the passion that few companies will invest the resources, let alone have the artisans capable of creating such a timepiece. Paired with an elegant 18k fold-over bracelet, it harkens back to the C+B bracelet styles from the past.

Skeleton wristwatches are somewhat of a more recent style when it comes to Patek Philippe. While many brands had already offered openwork timepieces, Patek Philippe began to showcase their remarkable craftsmanship in 1980 (shortly after their introduction to the style within pocket watches).

The case diameter measures at 39mm (46.7mm lug-to-lug) and has a height of 6.7mm. While not recommended to be submerged, the water-resistant is graded up to 30m.

This ornate Patek Philippe Reference 5180/1G-001 was purchased from the original owner. It was never worn and is being offered in brand new condition accompanied with its original box and papers including the Certificate of Origin.
