The Telegraph: Eric Wind Quoted On The Use of Pearls In Fine Watchmaking

Joshua Hendren recently wrote for The Telegraph discussing the use of pearls in fine watchmaking. Within his article, Hendren quotes Eric Wind:

“According to Eric Wind, founder of the pre-owned luxury watch retailer Wind Vintage, pearls have also featured on the bracelet of a variety of historic timepieces. “Cartier has used pearls for bracelets of many wristwatches for ladies going back over a century and these are particularly beautiful timepieces,” he points out, citing rare models of Cartier’s Tortue watch, which featured a showstopper strap with rows of pearls set amidst rubies and diamonds.”
