Tracksmith x Merci Instruments x Wind Vintage Collaboration

Time means different things to different people. For runners, it means everything. The Tracksmith Timepiece, created in collaboration with Merci Paris and curated by Wind Vintage, is a celebration of the shared values in both watchmaking and athletics. In each field, time is a crucial concept, serving as a key performance indicator. The pursuit of excellence, which drives athletes to push their limits, is mirrored in the intricacy and precision of watchmaking. This collaboration transcends the creation of an accessory and symbolizes a fusion of precision, rigor and excellence, which are equally significant values from both worlds. Merci and Tracksmith decided to add elegance by meticulously pursuing a design that features a tan calfskin leather band and a red second hand against a navy dial with Breguet numerals. Inside the Tracksmith Timepiece is a Sellita SW 210 mechanical movement with manual handwinding. It features a 42-hour power reserve. The case measures 38mm in diameter and 47.5mm lug to lug.

Limited run of 100 watches produced by Merci. A small number of these watches will be available starting July 12 at the Tracksmith Merci Shop pop-up at 111 Bd Beaumarchais in Paris and the rest will be online at tracksmith.com (http://tracksmith.com/) starting on July 15.

Arthur Gerbi of Merci had this to say: “For Merci, collaborating with a sportswear brand like Tracksmith to create a watch, highlights the shared values of both watchmaking and athletics. Merci and Tracksmith decided to add elegance by meticulously pursuing a design that features a tan calfskin leather band and a red second hand against a navy dial with Breguet numerals."

Eric Wind of Wind Vintage stated: "Working with Tracksmith and Merci was a dream and I am thrilled with the end result: an elegant, vintage-inspired, time-only, manual-wind wristwatch with a modern twist. I expect these watches will get a lot of wrist time from their new owners."

Rafael Oliveira on Tracksmith's intent: We wanted to create a timeless and timely accessory that captures the attention to detail and craftsmanship through the classic approach that is paramount at Tracksmith, while at the same time honoring the single most significant standard in the context of the running pursuit. We didn’t want to make another running watch. We made a watch for runners.

The watch will be available at 10AM Eastern on Monday July 15 on https://www.tracksmith.com. The retail price is $700.
