Rolex "Big Red" Daytona 6263

The Rolex Daytona reference 6263 with the “Big Red” dial has become one of the most iconic vintage Rolex watches and one of my most requested watches. This example has the best black “Big Red” dial I have seen and came from the original family. This is a rare variation called the “Floating Big Red” from circa 1979 as the “DAYTONA” text is a little farther above the hour register than later “Big Red” versions. It features the original “Mark 2” pushers and the lume plots on the dial are all extremely well-preserved. The case is very crisp, but has been lightly polished. Furthermore, the black “Big Red” dial versions often get unsightly scratches in the white registers due to the thin layer of white paint used, but this is preserved in beautiful, honest condition.
