Rolex GMT-Master “Matte Dial” reference 1675
The Rolex GMT-Master was originally designed for Pan Am pilots in the 1950s and continues to be a flagship model for Rolex to this day. This is a beautiful example of a Mark 4 dial. I believe the hands are original, but that the luminous material in them has just aged slightly creamier than the dial. The bezel insert has aged beautifully in my opinion. I also believe that the case is unpolished and just worn, with the nice thin bevels/chamfered edges you see on these late GMT-Master reference 1675 examples.
This watch is from circa 1977-1978 (5.3 million serial number), has an automatic movement (Caliber 1570 made by Rolex), and is 40mm in diameter. The bracelet is a Rolex Swiss-made 78360 with VE date code (circa 1980) with 580 end links and may be original to the watch.
