Rolex Sigma Dial Floating Big Red Daytona Reference 6263
This Rolex “Floating Big Red” Daytona reference 6263 is an extremely rare variant with the “Sigma” dial. This is one of the earliest Big Reds made and it is the first silver Floating Big Red Sigma Daytona I have offered for sale. The Greek Sigma letters next to T SWISS T below 6:00 refers to the hour markers being made of white gold.
The dial is in great condition with bold red “Daytona” font and original tritium lume on the dial and in the hands. The white registers are extremely clean and beautiful.
The case has been lightly polished, but remains strong. This Daytona features its original rare “Mark 1” acrylic bezel (with “hooked 2” in 200). This watch has a 4.12 million case serial number dating to circa 1976. It measures 37mm in diameter. It features a new TrueDome D21 crystal that is gorgeous. The Rolex Oyster solid link 78350 bracelet has the correct 571 end links.
The watch is fresh to market and is a fantastic deal as these are usually much higher in price. The watch does not come with box or papers. It was recently serviced and is running well. It recently passed a water resistance test of 5 bar.
