Seiko Diver reference 6309-7040
One of the most popular and iconic vintage watch families for Seiko are the class of “Turtle” divers and looking at the cushion case of this Seiko 6309 it is not hard to see why. Even though it has a diameter of 45mm, it wears smaller thanks to its short lugs. Featuring a day and date complication as well as automatic movement, the Seiko diver is a great daily watch featuring large luminous hour-markers and hands. The watch also features a knurled bi-directional rotating bezel. It’s a great entry point for vintage watches at the sub-$1,000 price level.
