Tudor Oyster-Prince Reference 7016

Tudor Oyster-Prince Submariner Reference 7016

This Tudor Oyster-Prince reference 7016 is a stunning example of everything a classic divers` watch should be. The case is unpolished and the hands have been sympathetically relumed. The watch features its original “Long 5” bezel insert, which has a desirable fat font. The watch comes on a nylon strap, but if desired it can be sold with a period correct bracelet at an additional cost. The watch was likely sold on a strap for military use originally and not with a bracelet. The case is 40mm in diameter (47mm lug-to-lug). The watch dates to circa 1968.

The watch has a True Dome D19 crystal that was installed by Dr. Greg Petronzi. Dr. Petronzi also lubricated the gaskets and the watch passed a pressure test of 5 bars, so it is good for use in all sorts of environments. We understand the watch was serviced before Eric purchased it and it is running well.

Our understanding is that this watch was purchased by a member of the U.S. military and worn in Vietnam. It was sourced alongside a Tudor “Snowflake” Submariner reference 9411.

The watch does not come with box and papers.

Finding such an attractive example with the original Long 5 bezel insert in an unpolished case is essentially impossible at this price level.
