Audemars Piguet Rectangular Wristwatch

This vintage Audemars Piguet is a fantastic example of the less associated time-only models produced during the mid 20th century. The manufacturer’s reputation as the complication specialist throughout Switzerland has resulted in an extraordinary appreciation for chronographs, calendar models, jump hours and Grande Complications. However, the time-only models have remained very much affordable, offering great value for collectors.

This particular model features a 29.5mm tall by 25mm case in white gold, with a lug width of 17mm. The case is made by Wenger and appears to be unpolished. Similar case styles can be seen within the book ‘Audemars Piguet: Masterpieces of Classical Watchmaking’. The dial features painted hour markers, with a slight mark between 9 and 10 o’clock. The watch is powered by the calibre 2003.
