Rolex Explorer I Mark 1 Dial Reference 1016 Unpolished

The Rolex Explorer reference 1016 is one of the purest expressions of watch design, and it is for this reason that I am probably asked for vintage Explorer reference 1016s more than any other watch. The case is 36mm in diameter (43mm lug-to-lug). It is in unpolished. This example dates to circa 1968 and features a 1.81M serial number.

It also has a valuable Rolex reference 7206 rivet bracelet with 58 end links that was made in Switzerland.

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 50th Anniversary Ref. 26240ST.OO.1320ST.02 Selfwinding Chronograph Brand New Full Set

The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak is easily one of the hottest watches and is desired by the most passionate watch collectors. This particular model is the “50th Anniversary” reference 26240ST.OO.1320ST.02 selfwinding chronograph. It measures 41mm in diameter, and is “new” condition. It was purchased in October of 2022.

This watch comes from the original owner and includes the original box and papers.

 

Rolex Daytona Slate Exotic Reference 116509 White Gold

This Rolex Daytona reference 116509 is an awesome sports watch in white gold. It features a slate exotic dial. The case has been lightly polished and features an M serial dating to circa 2007-2008

The watch comes with box and Daytona booklet, but no original card.


Rolex Explorer I Reference 1016 Unpolished

Rolex Lavender Dial Datejust Reference 1601 Unpolished

This Rolex Datejust reference 1601 is an awesome timepiece. It features an incredible non-luminous dial that has turned to a lavender color. The case is unpolished and the watch dates to circa 1971.

The watch does not come with box or papers.

 

Rolex Oyster Reference 6426

This Rolex Oyster reference 6426 is a very beautiful example dating to 1979. The dial is has a very special smoke grey color. The case appears to be unpolished in my view. It is paired on a Jubilee 62510H bracelet

Rolex Datejust Reference 16234 Unpolished

This Rolex Datejust reference 16234 is an awesome unpolished example. The watch measures 36mm in diameter and the E serial dates to circa 1990. It is paired on its original 62510H bracelet with 555 B end links. The fluted bezel is made of white gold.

Rolex Oysterquartz Datejust Reference 17000 Full Set

This Rolex Datejust is an awesome deviation from the iconic design the model is known for in that it has a bold Oysterquartz case. The case has been lightly polished, but is in strong form.

The watch comes “full set” with box and papers and was sold in 1982.

 

Rolex Wide Boy Datejust Reference 1601

This Rolex Datejust reference 1601 is an awesome watch with a bold “wide boy” dial. The thick non-luminous hands and dial make for a super distinct Datejust. The case is unpolished and the watch dates to circa 1972 with a 3.11M serial number. It is pared on a Rolex Jubilee bracelet made in the US.

Universal Genève Polerouter

This Universal Genève Polerouter is an awesome timepiece that embodies the next chapter of Polerouters post 1950s. This example dates to circa 1966 and features a UG bracelet which was added later. The case is unpolished and measures 36mm in diameter (40mm lug-to-lug). It features a case back engraving with the name of the original owner, who is a fascinating individual.

Edwin Unrein served in the U.S. Navy submarine service during WWII and was aboard USS Saury (SS189) in Manilla Harbor when it was bombed December 7, 1941. He formed the Colorado Mile Hi Chapter of U.S. Submarine Veterans WWII in 1957 holding many local and regional offices and was also a member of American Legion, Gilbert, AZ, and Veterans of Foreign Wars John Stewart Post #1. Edward was a shop superintendent for Power Engineering Company and retired from the company in 1986. He received this amazing watch after 20 years with the company.

Breitling Gilt Glossy Dial Reference 777 Chronograph

This Breitling chronograph reference 777 is an awesome example with an unpolished steel case. The gilt glossy dial is very attractive with a gold-colored minutes/seconds track and a copper-colored outer tachymeter track. The serial number places it into the circa late 1943 to early 1944 range. The KOS import code on the movement signifies that it was imported by Paul Buhre to the United States, which makes sense. The dial has an attractive and small “ANTI-CHOC” signature above 6:00 for the anti-shock capabilities of the Venus movement.

OMEGA Speedmaster Reference 2998-6

The OMEGA Speedmaster is certainly one of the most iconic watches with a truly rich history of exploration and sport. This fantastic reference 2998-6 featuring warm luminous hour markers. The case is lightly polished and it is paired on a 7912 bracelet with 6 end links dating to the fourth quarter of 1962. The crown is a later example which has been replaced. It includes an Extract of Archives from OMEGA dating to January 17, 1962, and delivered to Japan. This watch does not include the original box and papers, has a manual-wind movement (Caliber 321 made by Lemania), and is 39.5mm in diameter.

Rolex Date Two-Tone Reference 15223

This Rolex Date reference 15223 is an awesome value buy for those who are fans of two-tone watches. The case is lightly polished, but remains in strong condition overall. The dial features light blemishes. The watch features an X serial dating to circa 1991.
