Patek Philippe Reference 3423 in 18K Yellow Gold Unpolished w/ Box and Extract

The Patek Philippe reference 3423 is a very cool model that is very nice to wear. They are not overly delicate or dressy watches and can be enjoyed in casual settings. These are among my favorite references with “officer” lugs, and wear great on the wrist. We believe the case is unpolished. It measures 34mm in diameter by 43mm lug to lug. They have a very cool case with stepped bezels. The cases are made by Baumgartner. It is powered by the calibre 27SC.

These references have several dial configurations, hour markers, and are sometimes seen with retailer dials. This example features a super cool dial variant with segmented lines ( confirmed and described in the Extract as “painted diagonal hour markers”) which can be seen in the “Montres Golf” reference 783 designed by Gilbert Albert. This dial configuration is seen on several of the Gilbert Albert models from Patek Philippe and also seen on some watches from Swiss watch fairs during the early 1960s.

We do not know the service history, but it is running well. It does not come with papers. It does come with a small Patek Philippe box from the period. It does come with an Extract from The Archives citing the date of production in 1960 and sale in July 7th, 1961.
