F.P.Journe Pre-Souscription Chronomètre à Résonance in Platinum with Brass Movement w/ Box & Papers
F.P.Journe has become one of the most sought after and beloved independent watchmakers. Mr. Journe is one of the most significant watchmakers of the past century and the Chronomètre à Résonance is arguably his most iconic model.
This 38mm F.P.Journe Chronomètre à Résonance in platinum with brass movement is one of the first 25 examples produced. This yellow gold dial has developed a sensational and shimmery patina, which is the charm of these early Journe watches. It is considered the most beautiful by collectors. The two-tone sub-dials are also original, which is important as these are sometimes replaced and ruins the look. The engravings are shallow.
It comes full set with the correct early original box and papers. We do not know the service history, but it is running well.

This model is the cult classic "Tintin" reference 311.30.42.30.01.004. The rally-like red and white checkered minute track could be seen as a racing feature. According to OMEGA, it is in fact an homage to the rocket featured in the Belgian magazine Tintin’s cover of “Explorers on the Moon”.
